Hi all. I’m Hoping those of you that have a Non-Cellular , (no coverage in the area), No Glow trail camera that withstands cold temperatures could recommend something to me? I’m not on a budget, so price is of no concern. I’ve had numerous trails cams recently but they just dont work in the colder temps. (0-30). It seems these cameras are “budget” cameras. Although I can appreciate that, the bottom line is they just don’t seem to work in the cold.

If you could make a recommendation I’d greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!

It could be your camera or it could be the batteries. Eveready sells a ultimate lithium or some such name that some devices specify for extreme cold weather use.

Thank you HayDay! You’re saying even tho the batteries are new, and have a full charge, it may be too cold anyways correct?

We seldom see temps on the lower end of that scale, but are often in the 20-30F range. My Browning Black Ops work fine. Take 6 AA batteries.

Lithium batteries are a must in temps that cold. Reminds me that I need to pull a camera I have out because I'm sure the batteries are done after a couple months out in temps that have never made it up above freezing.

Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

alkaline cut out as you approach zero I used to have a weather station with remote outdoor thermometer depended how new the batteries were but they would cut out before zero
had to put lithium batteries in this was when lithium were very new on the market about 2002

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

We bought a HC600 back in 2012 and still use it. It does not get every day use but over time it has been used well.
Batteries last quite a while as well and good pics with fast trigger.
No glow at all, we've walked by it and not known it took our pic.
