Livestock Protection Company on internet = LPC. Has 5/8 drags for mt lions. Roy Mc Bride has them listed for 35 dollars each. He has worked all over the world catching everything from jaguars to hyenas. Bet that will ship internationally. Have phone in truck. But. If you are on here. You can look up on internet. Hope this helps

PM Jumperzee and see if he will ship you any of his. I make my own out of 5/8 rebar, but big drags. Mine work good for me but Jumpers are a better drag. Not sure what shipping would be they are about 8# apiece without chain.

Look on MTP. They sell wolf drags $29 each. And they even sell the drag with a trap attached, not sure of that price. I know the drags are #7 chain, swivels, etc.

I make and sell a bunch, but usually just locally around ID. I think it would be cost prohibitive to ship hundreds of pounds of steel up to the NWT though. Clogs work just fine (free) or if you can locate someone with a welder you can MacGyver up your own out of whatever scrap steel you can find. Weight is the most important factor depending on whether you want a "drag" ( getting catch off site) or "portable anchor" (catch remains close to set). My drags are intended for the latter.

Here's a pic of some prototypes and what I make now. MB 750, Duke 1.5 and MB drag shown for scale. Drags are solid bar 5/8x1.5 and roughly 12x15ish. They aren't cheap to make but they'll last forever.

Jumper makes a great drag, but like he mentioned, shipping up your way would be the killer. Jumper's drags can pull double duty as boat anchors during the summer months lol.

Visit a rock crushing outfit and beg the old hammermill liners. Thy are manganese and will last forever.

We use old pipe and weld rebar across it and fill with concrete or water and let freeze you can see one in sled. Seems big and heavy but they drag them around no problem. [Linked Image]

No trees there to make drags?

No trees on a side of a rock mt in West Texas. Mt lion drags and Wolf drags are going to be similar. LPC has some awsome looking drags it just that 35 each and shipping is ruff. But If a man went out and bought 4 or 5 dz mt lion or wolf traps. With = drags chains and swivels. Its going to be expensive

Yep! I believe when I bought my dozen MB750 Wolf traps all tricked out with chestnut rings, extra swivels, machine chain, labor for welding, etc they were crowding $550 and I picked them up so no freight charges. Then again, they will last far longer than I plan on being around.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Here is a pic of the drags I make out of 5/8 rebar. If my memory serves they are like 8.2 pounds including 8 feet of number 5 chain. Roughly 16" long and maybe 11" wide (4" long hook and then 4" to the bend at center so guessing about 11" tip to tip with flare). With an extra 8" piece of rebar welded across the top for extra weight.
