Patience!!! Rusty's working on it. Rest of us are still driving. You can post and drive at the same time? Can you make a grilled cheese sandwich at the same time? I think I have followed you down the road before.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I don't think they're liars. Look at some of the early eastern sale results. Idaho gets a bunch of craft buyers which really helps out. My bet is 2/3rds of the fur sold was for the craft market. Maybe more.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Craft market for sure on items like skunk and otter. Those prices are nice for the folks that had those pelts at the sale. But it can give false hope to those that haven’t sold yet.
18 otter is nothing. What if it were 180. Or 1800? I bet FH doesn’t see that average at their March sale. Good reason to not send your fur where buyers get the volume discount.

If I were Rusty I would turn my phone off after I got home from the sale until numbers were done. Absolutely no reason for some idiots to start calling and texting at 5am. You ain't getting paid any quicker, and if you can't wait a few hours to see what the finals were then how do you have enough patience to trap in the first place?

It is not always easy to decipher a sales posted results. For example, coyotes averaged higher than what has been getting paid. The buyer that bought more than half the coyotes is a craft buyer. Not an international market.

What's the deal with mink being as high as it was, given what they have been. Less than a 100 pelts so maybe some specific end user butt hat was sort of surprise.
Any guess on the breakdown between fur dealers buying to push it further up the supply chain AND end user specialty folks, such as getting hides tanned to sell to tourists or making things from the fur...?
