Anyone else listen to this guy? A lot of his stuff sounds like common sense to me, but he makes you think about why it makes sense. There's very few people on youtube that hold my attention just talking about random concepts, but he does it. And although he's a college professor, he doesn't come off as a raving liberal.

I think he is one of the most important thinkers of our time period. His insight is so deep and meaningful its beyond description. Been listening to him for years. The biblical series he did is fantastic. Ancient stories and the meaning of life... I never get tired of his positive and TRUTHFUL outlines of the human spirit

Good stuff. He doesn't quite identify the true "Noble Aim", but he does identify that there is a noble aim. I know what it is.

O love his stuff ! I've been trying to implement his whole try to be 1% better every day thing and gotta say it's really been improving my life.

I will say though seems alot of people don't like him because he doesn't pick sides. Salon his whole thing on you need to know how to be evil and cruel to be a god person throws alot of people for a loop

I guess I didn't see the other thread. This was the only one I was aware of.

I've been following Jordan B. Peterson since 2014. Read his book " 12 rules for life", and listened to many of his college lectures. I don't use the "g" word often, but he's a genius in my opinion.

I had a long drive home yesterday and listened to that podcast in its entirety. That is where I first heard about ChatGPT as Rogan and Weinstein were discussing it and its implications for humanity.
Serious stuff as they were making the point that we had better get ahead of this while/if we can cause its only going to get exponentially better and that means there is going to a very, very large sector of humanity that is going to become obsolete.

Jordan Peterson is clearly concerned with it.

For sure. It is mind screwing to think what the end game of all this may be. Particularly, if it gets into if not already in the hands of sinister people of power. What really is humanity/human consciousness in a virtual reality world? In 20 years will we even be able to determine between the two?

They called these believers kooks and crazy seven years ago. Just look at where we are now.

Jordan Peterson is a brilliant thinker and great speaker. He is far from liberal and if you follow him at all you will know that.

It’s great to see somebody speak out about bettering yourself. For years everybody out there was telling us that we are perfect the way we are and that the world needs to accept that, which has ruined a lot of good people.

He described himself as left-of-center until very recently
