Once you convinced a faceless bureaucrat your not going to be a hit man for a Sinaloa cartel and get permission to buy one, are subsequent permission slips any faster?

Thanks. Think I will do without then. ATF probably going to "redefine" what a legal suppresser is anyway

you must understand the entire system is designed to be as great of an inconvenience to acquisition as they think they can possibly make it with a razor thin Veil of "in the interest of public safety".
young people 18-20 are currently experiencing a 13 business day hold with NICs , this was done with the idea that it would give the FBI time to check into the backgrounds of these gun buyers.
the reality is it puts a 13 business day delay on buying your 5th shotgun of the year even if you have passed Nics 6-7 times already
there is also no indication the FBI is staffing the new department to check into 18-20 year old purchases , so fully expect that when the next mass shooting happens the 20 year old that commits it bought the gun waited 13 business days there were ample warnings the FBI would have seen if they had looked , but they are not looking they are just using this as a delay. by the way the people who fought nics in the first place 30 years ago knew this is exactly how NICs would get used and that was why if you didn't have a proceed or deny in 5 days the dealer could just hand you the gun , because the system had failed to do it's job in a timely fashion.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Any one have any experience with the multi caliber suppres or with using one in a trust? PM if youd rather stay hidden I have the Silencer CO Hybrid46 that I like, only have used it on 300 black and .223 though. I would buy again.

I have a Silencer Central Banish 30 multi caliber. Love it, I have several friends that have the same model.
Couple other friends have a Thunderbeast and nothing but good things to say about it.
I have mine in a trust
Danny, I don't know for sure as I only have the one, but the guys at Silencer Central tell me the second time is faster. They also tell me that the ATF is going to all electronic forms and it will speed things up as well.
It took me 10 months to get mine. I'm going to order another this spring.

49er the banish is the one I was looking at was thinking about a 22lr dedicated one too.
Is a 22 suppressor good for long rifle and mag?

Another reason I fought it, dropped out of the NRA over it, I believe it created a gun owner registry.

Any one have any experience with the multi caliber suppres or with using one in a trust? PM if youd rather stay hidden What do you want to know? My .30cal SAS Arbiter Is good from 300 win down. My liberty mystic is user serviceable and can be used on many calibers but limited to more Lowe pressure rounds. 223 if 16" barrel. And mymy .22 can is Good for up to 5.7 so .22 mag and 17hmr. They all can be used for multiple calibers but each sha it's benefits. I can shoot .22 lr through my Mystic and it will work well, bit that can is huge and heavy being 35cal . So my 1'×6 titanium .22cal can is a much better choice. I was planning on geting another arbiter.30cal and possibly a silencer Co 36m that is a very nice multi cal suppressor rated for up to 338 lapua. I was going to have some changes to my trust there send in some stamps in the next week or two. But I just put new tires and headlight assemblys on my daughter's truck in the last 24 hours. That $1400 put a dent in my play money. Then my brother in law told me about a 1 ton 4x4 that sounds like a good deal so the suppressors may just have to wait.

It took me 10 months to get mine. I'm going to order another this spring. The electronic system isn't any faster than the paper forms, and for many people it has been slower. Will it eventually get faster? Maybe. Shouldn't have to jump through hoops to exercise a right anyways, but that's another topic in and of itself

I own a few. Every one gets longer and longer.
My first one was the fastest at six months to the day.
My last one, was 14 months.
Of course, the first one was 15+ years ago and the last one was three years ago.
It defies logic. It SHOULD be faster as I’m already in the system and SHOULD already be flagged if there’s an issue. It should be a simple name look up and shouldn’t take more than an hour or two if everything’s tip top.
I firmly believe the ridiculous wait times are by design to discourage people. The hole point of NFA is to discurage the little guy. That $200 tax in 34 would be $3,400 today. That's why they have the $5 aow tax. Farmers threw a fit and wanted to keep that 14" over and under rifle shotgun combo on the tractor and in the truck.
