Coming up and finally talked with the folks hunting next door. I showed one guy some trail cam pics and he is pretty certain his daughter harvested the deer below opening day @ 8:00am. It scored 161. They also harvested several does. Sounds like it’s been a good season.

Dang, I bet it’s a warzone out there for those two days. We don’t have the deer population you do, but I can go into the hills on public land during rifle season and not see or hear another hunter for days. I kinda prefer it that way. We get just over a month for rifle

Your rifle season is only two days? No, it's two weeks, then comes back in for 2 days in Jan.

That deer looks 2.5 and scored 161? Did you mean weighed 161? If scored, you need new cameras!! Well let’s take a closer look at what I wrote. Coming up and finally talked with the folks hunting next door. I showed one guy some trail cam pics and he is pretty certain his daughter harvested the deer below opening day @ 8:00am. It scored 161.
They also harvested several does. Sounds like it’s been a good season.
Nope doesn’t look as though I’m the one who scored it or mentioned a weight. I did however incorrectly stated a picture when he actually viewed two videos of the deer.

Ah, and here’s the beauty, you nor I need anything because He “was pretty certain” but that doesn’t mean it IS actually the deer his daughter has at the taxidermist.
I know that’s a male deer and that’s about it. lol

Congratulations should go out to the young lady that harvested her buck. Not petty squabbling over numbers with the head hunters

keep hunting
we shot a buck this year a nice 7 point I know sounds not so good it had thick antlers but was only a 7
we had been helping another family look for the 12point one of them hit and was tracking but had lost the blood trail even though we had a few inches of snow, we had tracked a doe in some pines
the buck came running out of the pines my cousin dropped it and I called them told them it was a 7 and we only saw two holes in it.
no there's was a 12 they were going to keep looking
well 2 days later when my cousin was butchering it he found both slugs , there were only 2 holes they each had one we had been a little confused how it had taken the path to make the 2 holes we had but passed it off and moved on when they said no theirs was a 12 point
their whole also wasn't any where close to where they though they had hit it.
so either there were 2 nice bucks in the same area or they saw big rack and counted tines that weren't there or maybe there were even more deer yet. I don't think there were that many of us hunting that spot that it wasn't the deer they had hit where they had hit it was going to be a while before it died so it was good we put it down or it would have gone to waste.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Hippie you can sell them to antler hunters if big enough. Just dont get them officially scored. The antler guys will pay pretty good to get their name in the book and put the antlers on their wall with their name under them. Killing a big buck is like catching an albino coon. Nice payday.
