Scurvy. But it might kill you:

Cedar tea should never be drunk more than one cup per day. Cedar is a safe and very effective medicine, but its medicine will soon become poison if this one simple rule is avoided. Cedar contains Thujone which is toxic to the human body in large doses.

Correct-I have been taking 3 cups a week for years,as have lots of other people around here-we're all still kicking, and healthy, lol.
It is a key medicinal tonic around here for hundreds of years.
Arbor vitae(tree of life)-eastern white cedar.

I definitely dont brew it for boiling snares, lol.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I bet that stuff taste like turpentine.

I drink Labrador tea every morning mixed with green tea. Or I have hibiscus, tea, Both are very good for you. Green tea cuts your cancer risk by almost 30%, proven too.

Same deal with Labrador tea, not supposed to drink too much or possibly toxic.

I gave up coffee a few years ago.

I have western red cedar here, they get huge ...the giant cedars of NW Montana and Idaho are legendary. I wonder if the bough parts of this type can be used the same way ? I would never try it unless I knew for sure.

Deer and elk love the boughs and will eat young cedars right up if they can. So for sure, these cedars can be good forage for them.
