You mean, the GULF side.
That is the calmer, nice side of the sea, not the Atlantic side. Both are beautiful, but the Gulf has small towns full of culture, bird watching, coasts of mangroves, and the beautiful trees full of Spanish moss in the countryside . Inland, just a bit, is Ocala, my father's birthplace and where I showed some of the most magnificent hunter jumpers in the country . Horse country unsurpassed.
I hope you find a nice place to enjoy it all. Winter is the only time to be in FLA. IMO.

Look into Everglade City. There's motels, dunno about a monthly rental. Nice little place to hang out and see some gators.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Looking to see if anyone has a rental unit in Florida for Feb 2023. If you do send me a note as to where and the cost. We are just now looking for a place, hopefully on the golf side. Buy a camper. I did that for quite a few Januarys & Februarys. Something nice about hauling more stuff than you need and sleeping in your own bed. My dog liked it & we are going back next February. The first night in Florida a few years ago. This was on the Gulf side and they had golf on the other side of the road.

I was surprised at the number of cattle in the Ocala area. Plus, BIG DADDY DON GARLITS DRAG RACING MUSEUM is a must see! ( LOL, been 40 years since I.been there)
