I’ve been having serious sleep issues lately,, doctor prescribed 50 mg of trazadone to help,,,I’ve also been taking clonzepam, Melatonin and gabepentin , and it worked for awhile,,, I went back last week and she told me to double the dose,,,but apparently that’s not doing the trick. I fall asleep,, but cannot stay asleep,, I lay down around 10 pm and I’m up at 2 - 3 am. Anyone else having serious sleeping issues??

Falling asleep at 10 and awake by 2 or 3 has been the normal for me for a couple of years. I refuse to take pills of ANY kind so I just make it work.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I have it, used to sleep 8-9 hours straight. My wife used to wake me to make sure I was alive.

Do you fall back asleep around 4-5 or do you just get up?
I wouldn’t call that insomnia. I have times that i sleep 2-3 hours tops in 48 hours. Still no way I
Would take prescribed poison for it. lol it’s just part of life. Sounds to me like you most of your
Ailments are brought on mentally. Have you tried just smoking some weed?

Only sleep 3 to 4 hours a night for years.
I'm with 160. More pills are not the answer. Stay with the melatonin if anything.

I work 12hr days and 12 hr nights the next week rotating every week. 12 hrs are what in scheduled but 70% of those turn into 16 hr shifts.

So I seldom sleep more than 4 to 5 hrs if I'm lucky. My eating is also not what people would think as normal.

Getting 6 hrs or so at the same time each night sounds wonderful. People sleep and eat much more than needed .

Itryied some sleep poison from the Dr years ago. Sleep 18 hrs got up went pee and went back to bed. Threw them away.

When I wake up,,, I take another 10 mg of melatonin and a unisom tablet,,, sometimes I get back to sleep for 2 more hours,,, sometimes I don’t. I actually did try some edibles the past 2 nights,,,, same story can’t stay asleep. My daughter told me to take it easy on the edibles because they can creep up on ya,,, I tried 4 mg Fri night,, and had 6 mg last night… I’ve been up since 230 this morning,, it’s currently 4 pm central

This is just me but throw ALL that in the trash! Get out and go for a walk or do something to exercise. Your body will tell you when it is time to go to sleep and time to get up. In my mind most all pills are addictive even if it is just in your mind.

Throw away all the pills and take a hot toddy-You will sleep like a baby.
Cedar tea will also make you sleep real good, but can only take that 3 nights a week.

Normal for me too.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Bed by 10, up at 3 sounds like a normal night for me. Sometimes throw in an afternoon nap in the winter falling asleep while watching a movie.
I don't know if there are any studies on it but it seems like the older I get (I'm 71) the less sleep I need. Maybe my body is telling me I will be sleeping permanently soon enough. LOL

Yep.. I can sleep 5 hrs and thats about it. I take Advil PM but it still doesn't go past 5 hrs. My shoulders hurt too which doesn't help. Lots of nights I lay awake working on projects in my mind but that seem really important at the time but in the morning when I come around they aren't important at all.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I am 42 , this just started back in September for me.
Went thru major depression, thought about ending it all.
Only Gods grace and prayer brought me thru those dark times.
Still cant sleep more than 5 to 6 hours.....except when i stress my body physically.
Prescription stuff doesn't help, I lean toward natural stuff.
Exercise, even a 30 minute daily walk helps...cardio for sure helped for me.
I have a friend in the weed industry and he said gummies definitely can help. I havent tried those yet.

Foxkidd44,
If possible, you should back off putting all those chemicals in your bloodstream.

I had chronic depression in 2002. Depression caused me to have sleep issues. I was given 5mg of Ambien for a few weeks then doubled to 10 mg. Been on it ever since though I mostly take 5mg now. I also take Pristique, an anti depressant. Has worked for me.

When I spend a day outdoors, all my problems seem to disappear. Sunshine is good medicine.

Yep ADHD so unless I'm able to work the dog mess out of myself so my brains is tired I usually can sleep . Doc has me on one deal that will knock me out like a horse. Other wise it's stay up till 3a.m doing something that involves a lot of measurements and stuff that makes me work my brain.

The weird thing is if you put me in a ...not sure how to describe it, but a work/ military situation where I'm kinda uncomfortable, I can fall dead asleep no problem. Put me in a comfortable bed , no dice

You don't happen to get really depressed or start feeling physically ill if your stuck inside for long periods of time do you ?
