I just got an alert from the mayor of Coldspring, Texas that they're a fixin' to go after the town renegade again. Wanted - beer in hand or not - goes by the name of Savell. Or Vella. Or Savvy. Mind you, with 800 people, and the oldest Methodist Church in Texas, it'll be a short roundyup. They should have ol' Saveller in a pew by sundown today. Smilin' and spittin' and plumb full of vinegar as usual.

Hard to say J. Locals in Coldspring are gossipin' .... they say (as they swing on a swing on a porch) a man ought'nt need a porch if he's working hard enough. There's been rumors goin' round that Savvy is gonna make that porch into some sort of a come as y'all are kind of fuffu coffee joint. And in Coldspring, population not many.... Texas.... you need a permit for coffee joints. Beer joints not so much. Coffee joints, yessiree.

Well..at age 12 in the wintah of ‘68.....a very young Nessmuck had 40 paper customers...but the town was small and only had a paper that came out on Thursdays. The paper costs .15 cents and I got .06 cents for each paper I sold.
On the snowy days I couldn’t ride my Sting Ray ...Banana seat and Ape Hangahs ...so I had to hoof it.
Winter wear back then was So-So....but I managed.
I did my best to keep the papers dry in my bag....and my customers appreciated that !
It made me into the man I am today....
