Born and raised in Pittsburgh & was always a Steelers (Bucs and Pens too) fan. Though I don't find celebrities to be hero's, Franco was (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) close. He'll be missed.

If someone has done better than you, you settled for less but, it's not their fault.

Semper Fi,

Bob

about 7 years ago, I had the opportunity to meet him briefly (charity event, hosted by Sue Paterno).

RIP, Mr. Harris.

A real player like he said about Kapernick and the knee it would have been taken care of in the locker room

One of the greats! I used to really enjoy watching him run through the line and other players too.

Steelers are supposed to retire his jersey in a few days. Shame he won’t be there for the event.

I was a born and raised Bengals fan back in the day and I remember the Steelers, they were tough. I remember Franco was a great player. Mean Joe Green, Lynn Swan, Bradshaw, they had a great team. RIP.....

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

My father was a long time Steeler season ticket holder, from 1970 till his death in 1995. He and my Brother were both at Three Rivers Stadium in 1972 for the Immaculate Reception. When Dad died, someone in the family contacted the Steeler organization, and my Mother got a hand written note of condolences from Franco Harris. RIP.

I remember Franco from his Penn State days. A great player and a class act.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Joe molded the young athletes into men and stressed education and life after football. RIP Franco.

Sorry to see him pass. I always thought he was a class act. I loved watching him and Rocky Blier.
