I found a small fallow deer antler and made this yesterday. It's carrying an otter baculum smile
I have no idea where that antler is from originally, but I actually had that otter, that "donated" the bone, made into a fur coat...

Incredible as always! I would love to see the tools she uses, or even a short video of her working on a piece.

Tatiana -

I admire your art and your use of unique and beautiful natural resources upon which to "build" your art. Bone and antler carving never looked so fine. This one in particular is outstanding (but I'm especially attracted to rossamaha).

Lovely rendition and style. As one who loves the study of feet , I see you like that also, the bending, grabbing, all terrain perfection of feet. The human hand , arms and legs, are daunting but forever fascinating for me , the ultimate capture.

All the bends in body, in the right places.

Your art reminds me of the old style renditions of the hound hunts, the masters on horseback, running and jumping ...the old prints made of those artist's styles.

Antler is such a wonderful medium to carve...it always reminds me of carved ivory.

Novel use , too, of the catch gulo is carrying off .

Well done, once again, Tatiana.

Amazing!! lot of time and patience
in this piece.

Yes, rosomahi are annoying yet attractive in their mischievous ways, and I feel a special affinity for their dietary habits. But discovering a freshly abandoned gulo playground, with tumbleweed-like clumps of sable fuzz rolling under your empty traps can be frustrating.

Good strong arms and hands are indeed fascinating to look at and admire. In a way, all mammalian limbs are just the same as human limbs, same basic anatomy... Like Dersu Uzala said, beasts are "also human, only the shirt is different" smile

Nothing fancy really. A simple dremel tool and a few different dental bits.
