Rehydrate beaver castor
A friend wants me to make Us some of my beaver lure but some of his castors are way dried.

Never tried it,but in a small jar just cover the dry castor with water.Should rehydrate some after a day or two.
Might depend on if it was dried with heat or for a long time.
I know pelts dried with heat or dry too long(stale) wont re hydrate.

I would ask...freezer dried, or just dried? I personally would think if just dried one could rehydrate, but freezer dried might be a little more tricky. Great subject, cuz I have a set I need to get outta the freezer as we type!

When I get some old dried castors, I soak them in some burgundy wine and they soften right up. The wine seems to fire them up a bit too.
