Do the right thing... make sure they don't have to suffer through the storm, Grouse- it's what's for dinner. Ha! I rarely shoot them here and enjoy watching them. I have seen 18 at a time in the apples.
I have nothing clever to put here.

They were calling for 12-14 for us and then highs below zero for early next week. Great weather for the bobcat and fisher opener.

It's showing 4"-8" over the duration of the storm. That's more then enough!! We certainly do need the below zero temps to get my logging road froze.

I had a dozen turkeys in the crab apple tree by the house the other day. Usually the grouse start hitting them this time of the year. I hope they leave some for the grouse.

If we get a foot of snow my logging operation will be shut down. I don't have the big iron that you RICH Aitkin county folks have!

The population here just exploded too. They are surviving in the cedar swamps and spruce plantations here in the winters. I figured for sure the wolves, cats and coyotes would wipe them out.

Cool picture I think most I ever seen at one time was 3. So you must have some good numbers there.
As for this most recent storm that's supposed to kill us all. I thought them folks out west were begging for some moisture? Get their lakes filled again. We're a bit dry here but I'm ok with them keeping it all west.

They are so rare in my neck of the woods that I have not even seen one in two years and I am in the woods and outdoors a lot. It looks like I will be paying you a visit. I am overrun with turkeys, however.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
