I wonder if calling them in during daylight is very realistic

Id suspect due to their vulnerability. They can certainly be called in during daylight hours, done it several times. There are many on here that have probably done it much more than I have...

Because they're stupid at night! You'd kill every one of them.

If there are bobcats in the area, they can be called in, they hunt during the day too.

Lights at night lead to deer poaching is often the reason for restrictions in many areas.

I think maybe it was a new law last year, only applying to the wolf and Bobcat seasons

Lights aren't allowed to use at night in Wisconsin, except for point of kill. We use thermals for coyotes and call in a lot of cats. I've called a couple in the daylight, but don't get out much during that time. Definitely can be done if you're in cat territory. My season also starts the 26th and I'll be trapping and calling for them, during daylight hours of course.

That call ya have there is probably my favorite predator call. I have killed many yotes, fox, coons, and seen several bobcats when using it.

Can't make it sound like a cat but you can easily change the pitch to make several different type calls with it.

I have done best before noon.
Patience, call triple as long per stand as coyotes.

I've been applying for points for awhile but I have no idea what I'm doing in terms of bobcat any wisconsin folks want to clue me in to the part of the state that I should be focusing on for getting access again I know nothing about bobcat hunting / trapping other than what I've read

coyote hunting is legal at night year round other than maybe the 9 day gun deer season , if it is leading to a lot of poaching , then they still aren't hitting the deer kill numbers they want maybe they should add bobcats at night.

in WI it is only legal to use a light at point of kill , no searching with a light

I've killed several during the day using a Johnny Stewart woodpecker cassette tape

I always had a turkey feather hung by monofilament side wind of me 50yds one way or the other

I think I have that woodpecker call.

Also, I may try your turkey feather trick.

Do bobcats come in in a certain direction based on the wind like a coyote or doesn't it really matter?

They hunt using sight, wind direction is of very little significance to a bobcat

They ain’t exactly smart anytime. Elusive is their armor. Cool animals in wild places. Overprotected in WI.
