My Ol Man use to eat scallions like this...in a tall glass of ice water..then dip the end in salt. Here's to yah Pops ! What foods remind you of your folks ?

I do it with radishes,celery and carrots too.
Mashed potatoes remind me of Dad. On the holidays he would fill half his plate with them and then put peas or corn on top of them

My ole man used to put salt in his PBR and made the best scalloped potatoes ever. Mama would get a coffee cup, crumble cornbread in it, fill it with buttermilk, and eat it with a spoon. I miss them both and still enjoy many things they passed on.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Iv et green onions like that. We used to pick rubarb and dip in sugar and eat it for desert.

My dad's dad would eat onions like that.
And a bowl of slimy water cress. Yup .....it must be an old school thing. My Ol man would have been 93 this year.
