Cats are caught all year long in Texas and I realize that being a CITIES agent. I was encouraged to see Groeny's agent now has a route, meaning cat prices must be predicted higher. The southwest grades will still out$$$$ the centrals unless this world has now gone completely upside-down. I think we're still sideways, so rattle snakes and bobcats and the occasional lion bring the dough and the rest well..... not so much. I plan to reel in 150+ bobbies this season and see where they land $$$$ wise, but yes BTLowry, the trapping money is in the contracting fee. I'm pricey but then people who own ranches all over the south that I've trapped all want the same thing = an honest day's work for an honest day's wages. That's what we shake hands on and we get to work - NOT to kill predators - BUT to increase herd production, which usually involves killing the marauders that stand in the way of increased herd production. I will harvest all but a whole bunch of hogs, which is on occasion the menace. I don't do hogs. But I know people who do so sometimes we call in the calvary.
