Let me know when they get close and I’ll start getting ready to trap.

I was quoted $2 so I never set a rat trap. I am taking a few nuisance Beaver and plan to snare a few coyotes around the house just to help the grouse out.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I just averaged $10.00 a rat and I haven't sold any yet. ADC trapping rocks.

It would probably have to be 20+ to get me excited. I'm not in a great rat area and if I was going to travel and trap I would want to gross atleast $500 a day.

Had a buddy that used to trap a lake, I think it was Swan lake in Minnesota. He cooned the ‘rats to the tune of 3 or 4 hundred a day for the first week.

Did you move?

If you live in MN you are in a decent rat area.

West of here is real good, locally the ponds have been tilled with quad track tractors or have been consumed by hybrid cattails.

Low water this year so very few rats in my neck of the woods. Neighbor kid wants me to show him how to trap them and has about the only two rat huts in the township in a small pond at his grandparents farm. Season opened yesterday and the weather is supposed to be warm the next few days so will probably take him out tomorrow. Otherwise I'm not doing any rats this year.

I'll be doing it for 1-1.5$ on the carcass but I'll still skin a few so that way I can teach myself to put up fur.

Do you see any movement upwards or are we dead in the water?

There is nothing easier to put up than rats. Once you get the hang of it you can do them in a few minutes each.
