I didn’t want to hijack the wood stove in a deer stand thread, but eagleye mentioned the Milwaukee jacket. Who all has one and what’s your opinion on them?

I shoot a vertical bow and I hate overdressing for late season bow- I wear a T-shirt under it and I'm comfortable all day with two batteries. The battery will last about 5-1/2 hours on low... I've never had it on high. The M12 battery pocket location is in a position where it doesn't interfere or even seem like it's there, the other pockets are super deep. I where it as a base layer for gun if it gets that cold and where a blaze vest shell over it.
Important:
Here's the way to get one- you buy your wife and/or significant other one first- they will tell you how wonderful it is and then you say... do you think I would like it.

I have the grey soft hoodie Milwaukee heated jacket. In the cold weather in the 30s or colder in Ohio it is a game changer. I have had trouble staying warm for 3 hour sits in the tree stand since I started taking blood pressure meds when it is in the 30s or colder. I put the heated jacket on as my second layer. I put clothes on over it and leave it turned off. I get on stand. When the cold starts to creep in I turn it on to low and the chill goes away. It helps me a ton. I also think my feet stay warmer when my torso is warmer.

My son got me one some years ago. It's not in the least bit bulky. Obviously I use it hunting, but it's also invaluable shooting and refereeing trap, skeet, and sporting clays events.

I’ve got 3 of them , 2 of them have removable vest that’s heated that’s the ones I use the most . I will put it on then throw a hoodie on and good to go for a few hours, but they go through a battery quick on the high settings.

I have had the vest for years...converted to m-18 batteries and I have 5 1.5ah M-18 that I use for it (I have lots of M-18 tools). I really did not take it hunting the past few years. Great around town and if it is cold inside in the am. It is still boxed up this year, so far.

I have one and for a daily wear coat it’s nice without the battery, Milwaukee did a poor job by putting the battery in its location and not designing a flat battery. Coat is nice though for hunting it may be ok, but don’t think it’s a game changer

I never got cold even running my line at 42 below zero one time. Blood thinners changed all that!

Thanks for this thread and I am heading to get one today! Tired of being cold in my old age…lol

Already have a bunch of batteries.

I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

Thanks for all the responses

Eagleye management is always cold so I may have to take your advice, I’ll buy her one and see what she thinks

I’ve switched all my cordless tools to Milwaukee and plan to keep adding to the collection

I bought my wife a heated vest last year for her outdoor school activities in the late fall and winter.

It is not a Milwaukie, but a vest of the net, it uses flat rechargeable phone pack or tablet batteries
that last all day long on medium, I don't believe she has ever had it on high I just got her a larger one
and its doing really well and she loves it
under her jacket, it was about $80.00 if I remember right and came with its own battery, I just got her
a large one so she had two, then now this bigger one.

Probably get me one for dog hunting in the winter now !!
