I have 6 Harris bipods in the 9-13”. The knock offs are junk, and there’s no reason to spend $600 on a designer one.

Have one long one for sitting (never use it, go to sticks if I have to sit).

And one 6-9 I only use off a bench.

Well to expand from the $ bipod topic, I have a Manfrotto tripod with a ball head and a Hog Sniper Saddle. $$$$ and is superlative quality.

When hunting, I carry a Primos Trigger Stick that is one leg. Great adjustability. Works on the ground or in a treestand. Works well as a walking stick. Had it for around 20 years. Ran over it right before turkey season so used some really good shooting sticks. Ordered a new Trigger Stick.

I was next to my Guide - Waggler, when I shot my Brown Bear in AK. Using a Trigger stick Standing shot.

It worked in that tall grass.

Another man of culture I see. That the aluminum or carbon fiber one ? Love mine but thinking the carbon fiber might have been a better choice weight wise

330 - sounds like the trigger stick did the job for you.
I have shot a bunch of bucks with mine.
Standing shot may be the only shot.
The price was around $22 about 20 years ago.
The $80 shocked me for the new one.

Got the Death Grip for CJ when he wanted to go. We can actually use it in a double ladder stand as well. I’m fact a buddy borrowed it for a young lady he took turkey hunting this past year and she used sitting on the deck. So far it’s 4 for 4 in kills.

Glad to hear they work for you. You must be pretty gentle on them. I throw away two or three every year that hunters bring and then leave because they quit working by the end of a week long hunt. I have kind of a love/hate relationship with shooting sticks as a guide. I've said several times that the first thing you need to do when you get out of the truck is take the hunters shooting sticks and bend them around a tree and then go hunting. They are nice in the fact that they give hunters confidence, and can help steady them for a shot. But a lot of times elk hunting you don't have a lot of time, I don't know how many times I've stepped around a corner or over a ridge there is a bull looking at you 100-200 yards away; and the hunter is messing around with his dang shooting sticks! The elk of course runs off and it is NEVER the hunters fault when he tells the story. You've got maybe a couple seconds when an elk spots you and he is going to be running, you need to throw up and shoot, if you are wasting time with those sticks you aren't going to get a shot. Anybody should be able to make an offhand shot at under two hundred yards on a standing animal, but if they have shooting sticks they are always wanting to mess with them. On the other hand they are nice when you are sitting and/or the animal has no idea you are there and you have lots of time. Steadies the hunter, and gives them more confidence, even if it isn't strictly needed.

Mine is aluminum and yes it's kinda heavy but with my Muscular Dystrophy I can't hold a gun up in a standing position. So this make it so I can shoot this thing is rock steady.

No matter where you go there you are.
