A guy gave me this old trap and said he'd like to know a little something about it. Well I didn't have much good news for him..... Pretty sure it is a Triumph base with a Herter's pan. I also feel like the jaws are not original either. When opened, the jaws seem to be too wide and are "wedged" in. What else can I tell the guy?? is the chain original (sorry not a good picture of the chain)? and what about the toothed/serrated double jaw portion? I am only the most amature collector and not sure I have seen those jaws before. Thanks for any info.

Looks like a Herters #42 with the round pan.

Wow DiggerDale, I really showed my ignorance. I looked all over the internet and could not find a picture of a trap that looked like that until you called it by name! I’m an embarrassed amateur, but very happy that enlightened me. Thank you!

I always liked cut-out pans. It's a rough little wall hanger.
