Hey guys need a little help.

I was wondering if you guys could post some pictures of your fleshing stations.

All i have is a long fleshing board and dont have it riged up in anyway.. just one long skinny board... it will mostly be used for coons, coyotes, and fox

I was hoping for something i could sit down and do but have no problem standing obviously.... as of now i wedge the bottom of the board either into my foot or agaisnt something so it doesnt move "much" and i spend more time trying to keep the board from moving around than i do actually fleshing...

I checked the archives and couldnt find anything....

any help would be greatly appreciated...

thanks

a simple door hinge secured to the beam and a studded wall will work, or the same thing and a wider board to lean it down on from about the middle of the board to the floor, or just like i have all my life, shove one end against a wall, a tree, a vehickle tire, and start fleshing.

Here is my homemade setup.

The beam is in 2 different positions in the pictures. There is an angled board that can be put in two different slots for different heights. The last 2 pics show it in each position.

Here is my set up. If you look closely, you'll see I have my beams mounted to the bench at only a very slight incline and at approximately my waist level. No bending whatsoever - not even a slight stoop - and I can flesh all day non-stop. As well, I use two beams - one with a curved working surface and one with a flat working surface to match my curved and flat Zeph fleshers. Beams are made out of 2*6 maple.

well this is my home made fleshing beam and stand. its a little short but oh well. its an old oak railing proped up and stabled by some 2*4s. it works just fine for me and it was made from scraps so it was free, also its portable. i have done 4 otters, 26 beaver, and 1 fisher on it hopefully it will see more animals this fall
