Cousin has run them over 20 years in his oil field business. Does not even think about letting his employees buy them for their hunting trucks till they hit 225,000 miles. I retire in 2 years and 2 months. Will be my last truck to take me to nursing home or cemetery which ever comes first. No more big 3 for me. Marty

My wife has Honda Odessey that is much better for the vast majority of uses that pickups see these days. I have owned several pickups in my life and other than a few specific cases that alot of people never have to worry about I'd get a minivan before I'd mess with a pickup. Only exception is if I want to haul some large heavy stuff. And then I'd look at a older used one instead of the newer ones that are geared more for soccer moms than the working man.
Better gas mileage, able to haul 7 adults comfortably, carry 4 x 8 sheets and 10 ft boards handles and rides better. Better in the snow than a 2wd pickup.

And they are available with awd so they are every bit as good if not better than a pickup on bad road conditions.

I would rather have the flea ridden animals in the back of a truck than in a minivan with me.

Everybody can’t be as awesome as you jbyrd. Those Subaru’s can scoot around in some pretty rough spots at 30 mpg. My wife has a Honda CR-V that I like to drive, better send in my man card too eh.

No drive what you want But Subaru Outback is the car of choice of tree hugging yuppies Most can’t afford a Tesla so they drive Subaru

I lucked out and found a 2013 about 2 years ago with 18k. I now only have 30k on it but really like it. It'll probably outlast me.

My '98 is the 3rd Tacoma that I have owned and my first bought new, one. I love it, has 349K on it but has issues. Haven't had AC for about 10 years. Paul, don't know how you keep yours looking so good!? Mine looks like it is 24 years old! Doesn't help to have deer and livestock that like to use it as target practice. Had a cow run into the side of it, that didn't help.

I have a 2013 with 275,000 on it, did breaks leaf springs, plugs and just last week the a/c quit working
And that has been it. I am however thinking about getting a tundra next as the Tacoma is a thirsty little bugger.

I have a 2020 4 door Tacoma. First Toyota and first “small” truck I’ve owned in 25 years. It’s OK but I’m not in love with it like some Toyota owners. Mine would not work with a bed cap. When it rains, water, dirt and road grime comes into the bed from under the bed rail cap/left fender well. I asked the dealership about it and they said they had never heard of such but a coworker has one also and I looked at his…yep same thing.

That’s not what I wanted to hear forester, I was planning to order a new access cab version.

How thirsty, wildlife ? I’ve only talked to one guy with a tundra and my F 150 gets better mileage than his tundra.

My Tundra gets horrible mileage. Hasn't been the most reliable either. I put pickups through a daily torture test on my pumping route in the oilfield. Most oilfield around here drive two kinds of pickups, Chevrolet/GMC's (because there is a dealership here in town) and Toyota's because they last. I am going to try a Nissan Frontier for my next pickup (getting delivered Wednesday).
