I used to wade out at low tide in the Keys and Nurse Sharks would follow me , eating any snails, etc that I would kick up as I walked . They never bothered me and I liked to see them. Scuba1 OP "color blind Kraut" Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 16,150 Tennessee	They are lemon sharks. The biggest one is just over 12 feet long. Its at the fish cleaning station of the marina. Just tie a big piece of fish to a line and throw it in and move it around a bit and they show up for dinner. I would not recommend to go skinny dipping in that spot at dusk. I have not seen Pete since we left here. I guess he has found other folks to hang out with these days. I will keep looking though and hope to see him some day. Scuba1 OP "color blind Kraut" Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 16,150 Tennessee	I was not quick enough with the camera today but the gator that is hanging around the fish cleaning station got into a tangle with one of the lemon sharks and lost his front left leg in the process. A guy was cleaning his catch and threw the offcuts into the water and the gator wanted all of it but the sharks had a different take on the matter. Last edited by Scuba1; 07/14/22 03:48 PM.
