I gabbed with her for over an hour. Pretty interesting lady. She has over 35 hives, teaches classes and was very informative.

A swarm this time of year wouldn’t sell for much. Getting deep into the season. I still collect them if they’re close, but not going out of my way for bees in July.

Production is just started to increase here so that one would put out 100 pounds by Sept but with the cost these days.....

Ifn I was you and had a old tree casting swarms. I would set me up a swarm trap or two. Bee trapping, how cool is that.

Then get you a hive to put them in or sell them right out of the swarm trap.

it is not the last swarm you are going to see, especially with the cover you now have for them to settle on.
