Anyone hear how our Beaver trapping BS is going at the hearing today. Any bets that we won't be able to sell a pelt taken off a public waterway?

Im still watching the video and listening to all the testimonys

Its a long video to get thru and hear all the details. Still able to trap beaver on public ground from what I gathered. 48 hour trap check still. Although they moved the 76 hour one to 48. I'm sure I've missed a few other things too but still listening.

I guess my thoughts are, it was bad but could have been worse. Will affect WS workers a LOT more than fur trappers.

One has the feeling that this is far from over. They keep pecking at it trying to make trapping go away. But like newhouse says, could have been worse this go around.

Newhouse, what the heck is a WS worker?

WS = Wildlife Services, Trap check time for them went from 76hrs. to 48hrs. And also 30 days to 14 days on kill type traps. Still 48hrs for us recreational Trappers!
