That was living then. Lots of room in those campers. And solid. Thanks for sharing

Looks like it may be a little "top-heavy".

I bought my first truck and camper in 1969 . My Wife and I saw most of the U S A and Canada traveling with that one and then it's replacement . It was a great way to see the country .We once took a full month to tour from Ohio across Canada to Northern British Columbia , then down to Washington state .We came back home through the North West . It was a great adventure . Put a lot of miles on those rigs over the years , North ,South ,East , and West . Hard to believe it was 50 years ago .

Looks like it may be a little "top-heavy". That was my thought. It kind of made me cringe a little. Could just see that sucker rolling over and all those kids getting crushed.

My folks had slide-ins for most of my childhood. I have ridden literally thousands of miles looking out that over-the-cab window. I loved the view. My folks were heavy drinkers as well, and more than a few of those miles were with a pilot that shouldn't have been driving. Never gave it a thought back then, but I can guarantee you I never let MY kids ride in the back of the slide-ins my Bride and I owned! You would have been toast if there was any type of accident whatsoever.

That' my childhood right there. 7 kids in the camper singing and laughing as we travel the western US on vacation seeing the sights. BEST. LIFE. EVER. Six kids in Are's. Traveled the widwest to Northern Oklahoma and then North. Most memorable area was Downtown in Little Rock, Arkansas . Summer of 1969
