Could be a bad connection somewhere, but that wouldn’t explain the sound. Is it possible a screw or bolt rattled loose and it’s not mounted solid now, and something is in a bind in there? I dunno, not a mechanic, but that’s the first thing I’d look at. Once you rule that out maybe look at the resistor. Start with the easy stuff

Told you yesterday to check the ground block on the fender behind the air filter box. Watch some Youtube videos Coonman A picture is worth a thousand words.

Ground box is black with 4 or 5 wires that it grounds all of them. Take it off and sand paper shine the screw & fender. If you take the block apart you can clean the wire connections.

I spray fluid film on ground by gas tank door ground under side , did nothing , it quit work after work, let park brake release fly like usslly normally do an fan start work again, I think job for shop with get dash apart an broke wires under dash or bad switch for fan on connections ? I think fan motor sound normal that think it, always sound not best on 2 spd for years

Your right. I think it's the resistor for the fan control. The funny sound, If your not handy with mechanical stuff, better to leave it to guys that do it every day.

You release the parking brake and the fan starts working? It sounds like it is possessed or something.
I have nothing clever to put here.
