Chevy or GMC 2500

I’d like this for hunting when I go with 4+ friends. And some road trips where I’ll pull a bit. Is anyone a fan of 90s era suburban? Any particular engine or transmission to watch out for? Anything to try and find?

Get the 6.5 turbo diesel. You can do reliability modifications to them.

I have owned 4 suburbans. All 4x4 1500 and 350. Those things are tanks. The older they are the better. All of these got around 10 to 12 mpg no mater what you were doing.

1988 - I only had this a few months
1991 - I drove though snow over the front bumper more than once with this truck.
1993 - This was my favorite one. very reliable and very tough in the snow and mud. I towed a dump trailer with 2 cord of oak blocks in it several times one summer cleaning up storm damage.
1999 - I was not impressed with the towing of this one. It just wasn't as good as the others. It may have had different rear end gears.
