I need some help. I was at an estate sale today and bought a box of new unopened dry bags, back packs and duffle bags. In the bottom of the box was this large waterproof bag it measures 8' x 34" .It was not in a bag, so I do not know what brand name is. Everything else was Sealline brand and in the original sealed bags. This one was not.

I have tossed around all of the possible ideas on what the bag is used for but cannot find anything about it searching the web. Does anybody know what the bag was intended to be used for?

No tag..

SJA.
You are absolutely correct. It is a body bag. Body bag was one of my thoughts but I didn't do a google search on it. I was thinking it was used for something hunting or fishing related. Because the person who passed away was an avid outdoorsman and did a lot of hunting and fishing in Canada and Alaska.
My thought was it may have been attended to be used as a sleeping bag shell to prevent a sleeping bag from getting wet. The box of gear that I bought was shipped to Mi from Sitka AK.
I guess I will never know what the intention was for the body bag but all I know is. I got one heck of a deal for the box of new gear for a $50 bill.

Thanks for your help guys.

I believe someone on here recommended using a body bag to get shot bears out of rough places. A possibility of why he may have had one if he was a avid hunter.

It's a bag for pig castration remnants.

Very true , as dead bear are hard to carry .
If you can't get an ATV to it , it becomes a big problem , unless you skin and butcher it on the spot !

Using one to carry a bear out of the thickets would be a very good use for one. I have no use for it so I will put it in the Trap Shed to see if someone else could use it.
