I feel your pain.It wasn't as if I didn't have enough traps, when I worked away I'd buy any used traps I got a deal on,I'm still coming across a box every now and then of traps I bought and never even opened the box

Roy, it's a twelve step process. If nothing else we all should take a real inventory for insurance purposes. And by the way, we can never have too many traps.

To relieve you of the stress of “too many traps”, I will be down to your place tomorrow morning to take them off your hands!!!!! LOL. Obviously I just don’t have enough!!! It’s not that I have a problem or anything!!

I did kinda the same thing only with ammo. We retired and moved here 4 years ago, had some boxes upstairs in the shop, opened one up and it was full of 22 shells and reloading stuff. I don't remember packaging that stuff, either I'm getting forgetful or the ammo fairly came by

Don't let these guys drag you into denial...It's is true you can never have enough traps, BUT you should have an idea of where they are...Missing 8 totes (like 2'x2' x2' size totes?) is a bit of a problem, and you need help! We are here for you on this forum and I suggest going to trapping conventions this summer...There will be lots of people to discuss your issue with...Remember this is a disease and it's not your fault, you just need to learn to cope...It sounds like you have made the first step by admitting you have a problem... Keep coming back!

Is there a Trappers Anonymous, sort of like AA?
"Hi, my name is Trapper Dahlgren and I am a trapper."
The rest of us in the group: "Hi Trapper Dahlgren."

Dang it man! I think this site is ‘trappers anonymous’! Lots of therapy here.

Right. That way of thinking pertains to firearms too.

I feel you have underlying issues Roy You're trying to come up with a reason to buy more traps And your trying to fight off the urge with reason and organizing I believe it happens a lot this time of the year Your not alone!!

I keep telling myself to get rid of some stuff. With dp’s and coon sized footholds i probably have 300+ traps excluding conis that i could set for coon. I mever will come close to that (some do i know) but i keep making the excuse “what if the coon market comes back”. MIGHT need them someday!
