Well these two routinely shoot you to three grand so a 1/3 of that for them ain't much. Mark has said alot of the time that when it comes to ELR there's non of this one shot impact. You walking it in and if you hit by the third shot your lucky
I like to keep an open sighted rifle around. Thirty-thirty fits the bill for me. Hits hard at my open sight range/ability. 100 yards or so. I have some scoped rifles for longer shots too. They shoot with quite a bit more velocity. He was loading one round at a time because of his bullet selection. Makes me wonder why he was using a lever gun. Seems like a nice ruger #1 or something would have been a better choice for that. Still a fun video though.

I would have to be standing next to this guy to believe what he is doing. I can't find a chart that shows the trajectory of a 30 30 out past 500 yds. At 500 there is a 9 foot drop.

I ran the numbers about 50 feet of drop with the best bullet BC I could find in a 155
I don't understand why he is doing it standing
that bullet should be falling sub sonic right about 60 yards before the target in my numbers maybe he is pushing it a little harder than book

I used to shoot quite a bit at Camp Perry's 1000 yard line. A .308 172gr bullet @ 2600 fps will drop around 400 inches. Single shot 30-30 rounds loaded to 308 specks. 30-30 use the same bullet and fps for your drop chart. The key for walking the bullet in is the spotter. That distance, the spotter will see a comet trail going through the mirage. It looks pretty cool in the spotting scope. Kind of watch a curve ball going through the mirage.
Y’all will knock anything, lol. Forget the hits, I’d be happy to be all around the target at that distance. Quite a few near misses. Pretty good shooting while shooting offhand and a 30-30.
if you think about it he is holing about a 30 foot group even once he has the hold fairly well dialed in
4moa group at 1100 yards would be 44 inches he is shooting at a 4 foot steel it looks like
he seems to have about 25 foot area he is keeping rounds to that would be 27moa not to hard to believe a guy who can shoot a 6moa 6 inch hundred yard group standing group could make a 27moa standing group with wind changes , falling sub sonic , and such
I sure wouldn't want to be standing down range
but as pointed out is more luck of shot dispersion to get a hit even after walking it in
