I think there will be a lot of issues stemming from this in the months to come. Price of meat and eggs will go much higher. I think I remember at one time knowing that more of the grain usage in our country was for animal feed than human.

Before all this mess began, I used to love buying Jerusalem Artichoke pasta. It is a unique mix, that outstanding from all other pasta mixes, does not turn to glucose and spike blood sugar , but metabolizes slowly and assists in burning carbs , not storing them.
It was the nicest tasting pasta I have ever had , a bit more expensive , but so worth it.
Since mid 2020, it has no longer been on the market. Cant find it anywhere.

That's interesting Sharon. We used to grow Jersulem artichokes (mostly fed them to our hogs) they're very productive.

so many people made a run on it in 2020 then didn't know what to do with it or how to use the flour
lots of bread making by some
I don't eat it any more in any quantity so the few bags lasts a long time
I need to grow cabbage this year and I buy some every week in the winter at the store. I have mostly replaced noodles and rice with cabbage in my diet
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I got quite a bit some in 1/2 gal jars sealed, some froze, using up what I can before meal moths. Just made 4 quarts of flour gravy, and rice with meat grease for my 3 mutts.
2 Kings 20:14 14 Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, “What did these men say [that would cause you to do this for them]? From where have they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “They have come from a far country, from Babylon.” 15 Isaiah said, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen everything that is in my house (palace). There is nothing in my treasuries that I have not shown them.”

It’s going to be a long year with many lessons taught and maybe a few learned. They’re going to be hard lessons for those living in LaLa land. Deservingly so.

Good question, Paul. Its good example of how so many these days have messed up survival instincts. It's there....but its twisted a bit. The real stuff: food, shelter, heat.... gets forgotten/replaced with stuff like paper products. The average city person won't think to stock up on any dry goods until they are told to.

I heard the market report on wheat the other day and bought 100# of flour. Probably, haven’t used 100# of flour in the past 5 years, but I’m not going to run out!

One would be well advised to stock up on any non-perishables right now. I would call us a rudderless country but it wouldn't be true, we're being steered into this. Right. All the horrendous decisions from the beginning of this Marxist regime have been done on purpose.
