Do any of you clean the skin this way? on average, it takes me 15-17 minutes per skin. how to properly sharpen the knife, what is the angle of sharpening?

There is a pelt market, but beaver pelts are for personal use only.

I’ll do a real one here this week. I still have a ranch in dire need of a beaver trapper. One of those places that’s exciting to set.

His name is Jackie Wurz, he’s from Alberta. And yes he is Hutterite. Videos don’t really show his awesomeness, it’s way more impressive when you’re standing in front of him!

Looks like a Victorinox beef skinner. It’s not in the knife, although it is a good knife. I flesh the same way and use a couple different knives. The Bic Beef Skinner being one of them, which is why I think that’s what it is. The $10 de yer works just as well but needs the steel a bit more often.
