My biggest was 62 lbs. Caught another 61 lbs and average 6-10 a year over 50.

Always enjoyed seeing your barn shot as every year as you always had some of those huge coyotes hanging in the picture. They have to be another sub species coyote they have coyote feet not wolf feet, guessing those big one foot size must be 3.5"? Do they have a 18" to 20" stride?

I didn’t measure the foot size of the big ones or the stride but I would say you are close, I’m guessing around 3” and the stride sounds close. I will measure the next good set of tracks I come across.
Sadly I won’t have a barn picture this year since I didn’t set any traps, had some stuff to do around home but I will be back at it next year for sure.

Caught a 53# coyote several years back. Pouring down rain that morning so he was muddy and soaking wet. Teeth were well worn. Got him tanned and he is stretched out on the mantle.

Lots of big coyotes out there...you guys ever consider the GOOD that we are doing for the nearby communities? As surely these big son of a guns would be causing issues...

To what MChewk just said, yes.
My biggest were from one group that acquired a taste for beef.
One cow then two calves before I got five coyotes from two sets in thirteen days.
Other sets untouched.
(Amazing how we remember some stats)
It is unknown how the cow was initially killed but it stopped after trapping.
The calves were coyote killed.
