I had a 2002 for many years. frame rusted on it a few years ago, and got a used Tacoma.

Yes I been working on the Evap System because I have 3 Lites on, VSS, VSC, Check Engine Lite, I replaced the Charcoal Cannister on top of the gas tank 3 years ago , I am thinking replacing the vapor recovery solenoid valve on the pass side firewall, I Tested the one back by the gas tank by applying 9V and it opens and closes

I haven’t had any luck with that forum and the codes aren’t definitive

Wife's 96 has had the check engine light on for years . Runs like a champ ....lol

I know that doesn't help ....... just saying

Unhook the battery for awhile, see if codes clear.
If not, buy, borrow, or steal (lol) a obd2 code reader and see what it says.
They rarely ever point you to the direct problem, but they often give
you a symptom that others have experienced and may be able to help with.
Hucking parts at it isnt the solution until you know the problem...that's how
many shady mechanics make their money.
Do you mechanic at all?
How's the mileage been?
