I've been using 190 proof Everclear to tincture some products but it's getting expensive and I was wondering if cheap vodka would work just as well without any issues?
Thanks

I prefer the higher octane Everclear but as stated it is getting more expensive each purchase I make. I have used some lower proof alcohol, but you get a much better and faster working solvent with Everclear. If you can find some moonshiners near you, they can make some good high proof material at times if you can rely on what they tell you about its alcohol content.

A column still is what you need to get high proof like everclear. Sugar water and yeast is all you need for a "beer". For the price though everclear is still your best bet. Its also legal. Distilling ethanol is not legal under federal law and most state laws.

you can find plenty of "how to" on line

I can make moonshine for myself, but I have no right to sell it. Is it legal in your country?

I can make some for personal use, but I don't know if personal use is using it in products I sell?
