Just got off FB and came over here to let my blood pressure settle.A post came out on a Michigan news feed that the DNR was considering a longer season for bobcat in the lower peninsula.That brought out the nuts like nobody's business.For every pro position,there must have been 5 antis.Most of them seemed to be women.Whether man or woman they're screaming goblins,like ANTIFA types.When I got past seeing red a couple of things stuck out in my mind.1.,While they've become louder and louder with lots a help from the media,we beg for members in our associations.And at a time when we need the help now more than ever,a lot of trappers have more excuses for not joining the ranks and the fight than Carter had Liver pills.Any post concerning Legislative efforts or the latest on the anti fur effort seem to get scant attention,but let somebody post about Dukes latest offering and Oh boy!2.I've been in probably a hundred "discussions" concerning trapping,and a substantial number of them are with hunters.I don't know what they cant see here but theyve somehow set themselves up in the ivory tower in the eyes of the public ,looking down on us.I've been accused many times of "wanton waste" by this bunch,I've offered many of them predator carcasses for their own dinner tables if it bothers them that we throw them out.3.We need to take the high road and reason with them has been a complete failure.That was the tact taken in the 70's ,80's and '90's and look where it got us.As most of us now know,there is no common ground with these people.Their attitudes are typical of the Biden era,do as we say or else.This is no longer a free country,it hasn't been for some time. That's it.Rant over.Just tired and disgusted with being attacked,called vile names,and the feeling we're being pushed hard up against a wall with very little defense or offense.

Lengthening the season and I believe expanding the counties to the south.That article has set them off on a letter writing campaign,by the way their responding it doesn't appear they even know there's already a season. Just took another look,they want expand the season from 11 days to 20,and create a new zone with 9 counties including Shiawassee
