8 a night. I always shoot for 9 but it never works out. I go to bed early, like 2030 and am up early. 0430-0530.

I’ve been doing some reading into the history of sleep. Back in the 17-1800’s people during times of less daylight would have their “first sleep” a little after dark. They would wake up around midnight, take an evening stroll or do something else and then have their “second sleep” until morning.

Not enough most of the time.

I went to bed at 930 and just got up. 230.This is pretty normal for me. Sometimes I sleep till 4. I am waiting on the coffee. I cant hobble on crutches and carry coffee so will wake my bride when its done. She will go back to bed. I can maneuver in the kitchen good enough to cook her breakfast after a while though.

Over the years I've found 7 hours to be about right for me.
