160user OP trapper 1 Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 18,038 MN	It appears I had a "visitor" last night. This happens every 3-4 years here and always turns into a pain in the butt. I have nothing clever to put here.

I remember Lynn Rogers the bear expert saying that bears can wake up in January and February if they are hungry but go back to their den right away. Hope it's not a female looking for a date. Nope, there is nothing. I barely trapped this fall and didn't shoot a deer so there is nothing here. It rolled the empty trash can around a little but otherwise everything appears ok. I will look more when it gets a little lighter out. I have nothing clever to put here.

To wake up pre-maturely from hibernation.

I did roust out a sleeping bear while dozing in a timber sale this time of year. Was real surprised how they can go from a dead sleep to flat out hauling the mail in a matter of seconds...
