I switched from PVC to wood last year and really enjoyed it. Nice work
Everything the left touches it destroys

Wondering what tools you used to shape it. I ran mine through a table saw a few times to knock down the sides and make a sort of straight sided arch. Then just used a power hand planer to shape it. Didn't turn out great but it was close. Would like a good way to get it really round and even on both sides.

Good job. I made a new wood one 7 inch width a few years ago. Took me quite a while to get the arch just right You'll feel good making your own equipment and finishing fur on it. Are you making your own stretcher boards yet? You'll find them easy to make after this

Not much taper, I used oak. And for making it I used a handsaw to cut the shape, then took a chisel and brought down the edges, went over it with a hand held wood planer then a belt sander.

Just happy to be here.
