I'm looking for a folding pocket knife for an older gentleman I know with arthritis in his hands, so he wants something easy to open.

He wants a 3 inch blade, can/bottle opener, screw driver (Philips and flathead if possible).
I thought about maybe buying a multitool with extra stuff on it and removing all the files and picks and other junk he doesn't want, putting in spacers so the tools are more spaced out and easier to pull out.Doesn't have to be real nice. If he likes it I might buy him a few for when he loses them.

assisted opening folders or auto's would be easy on hurting hands but they don't make those in multiple blades and tools so I've got nothing.

That was my first thought as well.

Maybe one of the multitools? Lord knows there's all sorts available with all kinds of mechanisms.

just a really fast knife Boke Kalishnikof in the full size or XXL

the XXL is huge

https://www.bladehq.com/item--Boker-Kalashnikov-Automatic-Knife--9485

silver button on the side push that with your thumb and flip the blade is out

push and hold that with your thumb and fold the blade down it is the lock and the release

if he wants all the tools a Gerber 600

https://www.amazon.com/Gerber-MP600...l&qid=1639050087&s=hi&sr=1-2

the black sliders are the lock , with a little lube the blades and can opener and such open easily , the lock mechanism is big and you can get with your thumb

fastest pair of pliers they pop out the front with a flick of the wrist

got nothing on multi-tool, but for a plain pocket knife for arthritic hands, I'd go with this:

I have no idea where this multi tool came from, but I've had it for a few years. The knife is assisted opening.

This looks like a good choice! I was able to find one on eBay, it appears they are out of stock in stores.

a fixed blade with a chunky handle , might be the best but he asked for a folder

what's the fastest knife to open , a fixed blade , cause it is already open

what's the strongest lock , a fixed blade with a full tang no lock to break

what's the strongest hinge , a fixed blade full tang no hinge to break

That looks interesting might have to check it out. I carry a gerber and am usually hanging off a ladder when I need it so assisted opening would be useful.
