Coyotes have been becoming a big problem on my farm and farms near by, I dont have time or skill to trap them but I can put aside a few hours in the middle of the night for hunting.
Is there anything tips or tricks I should know about hunting them?

Pack a rifle for when they hang up a ways out. And pack a shotgun for when they come barreling in at a dead run.

You may not know how to catch any right now, but if you start down the road of learning, its as addicting as it gets.

Pay attention to wind and when they start bouncing on front legs after stopping time to shoot or let them go till next time. Also they look farther out than what you think if you hunt the same areas range some distances.

If you are serious about this and willing to invest some cash, get yourself a good rifle with a good (expensive) thermal scope for night hunting.

Calling is way way way way wayyyyyyyy down the list of effective means of coyote control.

Use an Estrus Whimper mouth call. That call is a must. It looks goofy, but makes 3 or 4 sounds and works great.
