Was watching the Pursuit Channel the other day. There was a guy on there with an air rifle that could shoot a arrow at around 400 fps. He shot some wild pigs with it. The arrows when clean through most of those pigs. I wonder if that would be legal during bow season? A cross bow is. But, this is an air rifle; a little different.

Best place to inquire is your states DNR, they're the ones that would write the tickets.

Anybody know what air rifle I'm referring to? I don't remember what it was called. They made two versions. One spit out an arrow at about 200 fps. The other around 400 fps.

There is a couple ones out there , this one is a PCP @ 450fps. https://www.umarexusa.com/umarex-airsaberMost are a bit spendy for an air rifle. Neat thing however.

But, this is an air rifle; a little different. varies state to state I believe the answer is NO in WI several of the cross bows are getting very close to 400fps and can be used in a lot of states like WI mission has one that is saying 385fps and yes the bolt goes right through and out the other side , that can happen even on compound bows a hole clear through and nothing to plug it up is desired
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I think we can here? Is that what this is talking about?
During any open season on deer with primitive weapons after November 30, a person may use any legal weapon of choice, including pre-charged pneumatic weapons (air guns or bows), on private lands only

If you go to the web site that Crager listed scroll down, and you can get a state by state list of what animals can be hunted by that weapon.

I believe it's Mission that makes a 500 fps crossbow. The advertisement on their site says "meet your next rifle."
It’s actually Ravin your referring to.
