Took the week off for some fun. Robert was looking for someone in the Midwest for a bird hunt last year and I figured it would be a fun time for a good cause. A couple of guys Joe and Wayne from Pennsylvania won the auction and we’ve had a pretty good week. Even talked them into a little coyote calling and called in 13 before the weather got a little rough here.

They brought four dogs with them and we’ve been covering some ground I’m dropping weight like I was on a trap line. The dog work has been phenomenal the humans could probably use some sharpening of their shooting skills. We are going to go shortly for our last day. Winds blowing about 20-30 straight but it’ll be better then being at work. I need to take more pictures but I’ve snagged a couple along the way. These guys like to hunt and we’ve walked about 8-9 hours a day.

Here’s a picture after the first round through our families CRP. Joe, Wayne, and Parker. That was one happy dog.

The four pups they brought are Warner, Bella, Pippy, and Parker. Everyone but Parker are French Brittany’s. Fun watching them work they are all pointers. Here they are enjoying supper in my back yard after a long hard first day. They add a can of sardines for each of them for their effort. Never seen dogs just hammer down the sardines like they do.

Even though I took the week off work the work is never over. Parker finally experienced a barb wire fence. She was all fired up and ready to run yesterday morning. My first time sewing up an animal. Usually the human form. Think we’ve got her tacked together pretty well.
