A friend asked me to look for some 12 ga 5 or 6 shot. The local Bomgaars has steel shot for goose but nothing for pheasant. Is shotgun ammo as scarce as everything else?
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Yes they are. I just bought a 16 gauge and it's my first 16. I cant find any ammo for it anywhere. I have several rounds of 12, 20 & 28. If any of you all have any 16 on hand shoot me a PM I would buy or trade.

This is just crazy! What is the world coming to? Is it hoarding or what's the deal?
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Had a tough time finding some dove loads here(need to use steel for dove here as they are considered migratory game bird). Ammo shortages starting to hit here in Canada...spoke to a Lakefield Mossberg rep about a month ago and what he said was not encouraging. Pretty easy to find lead here in 6, 7.5 and 8 but the ammo cases in the store are pretty empty...more than I've ever seen
Just happy to be here.

can you call having a few boxes set aside hoarding?
it's lots of things
but mainly a ton of demand , companies are making ammo 24/7
2020 and 2021 added millions of new gun owners and got millions more back in the feild I had never seen such a busy deer season as 2020 gun deer people out all week hardly a parcel without orange on it.
check small shops I am seeing a little , but at near a buck a round
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yeah I bought a bunch of 6 shot 20 gauge last week at scheels, great for pheasants. Used em my whole life. DE Guns had some also. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
