Yep..I'm not up to speed or really understand what's going on or will be going on with our current U.S.currency. I'm hearing more and more about "Digital Currency." So I wonder how this works. From what I understand that when this new system may or may not take place, why is it that the dollar in your pocket becomes of no value?.or do I have it all wrong..I don't understand how U.S. currency cannot be change to what a digital dollar would be..If there is a digital dollar..SO..Could someone explain to me or us what is going on? ...How would one do a transaction for an example?

My understanding is that the likely thing to happen if we go to a digital dollar is that you will be given a certain amount of time to exchange your current USD for digital dollars. The longer you wait, the less you get as a percentage

The way I understand it is that both digital and physical will be used.....if we go down that road.

The benefit isn't to the customer, it's to the overlords.

If you havent noticed, the gov is obsessed with tracking all transactions. The digital dollar achieves this.

It is also cheaper than maintaining a physical supply of currency and all the transportation and security that entails. Also, how does one counterfeit a digital dollar ? Hacking could become a growth industry though.

Your spending would be totally traceable and taxable. They would know when you bought a cup of coffee, gun, auto or groceries. If you sold something at your garage sale, it would be taxable.

The dollar in your pocket is already worthless technically. Fiat currency is just a belief system really.

The point is that in the digital form all transactions would be recorded through the blockchain digital ledger which cannot be altered or breeched.

They can cut u off from your digital money immediately also. Major cyber attack or distribution of power grid and you could be cut off from ur money

Paper dollars could be valid anywhere BUT the USA....total digital $ would enable more total control of people....go to the school board and speak out against crt?.....your digital $ is frozen, for example.

If you use electronic money transfers in anyway get checks deposited to an account or use a credit card its a form of cyber currency.
