What is everyone's opinion on using old baits and lures?
I recently was going through an old box of trapping stuff
I left in a farm building the better part of a decade ago and
Found a bunch bottles of half used baits and lures. Should I
Toss the stuff or do you think it could be used?

Try em, might be fun to see if they still work.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I'd use it. But I'd buy some fresh stuff too, just in case.

Asa Lenon used to say that lures only get better with age.

mix them all together and put it in a single jar.

Most lures are just fine, if age has dried them up a bit add some h2o or a little glycerine. I've had guys call me with lures 20 or more years old that performed just fine.

I have a 5 gallon bucket that all my left overs and doubles go in. Have about 3.5 gallons now. Can't wait to try it this fall

You should probably send them to me for proper disposal. I won’t even charge you a disposal fee.

I give all canine lures, new and old, the hardy sniff test. If it causes a decent gag reflex, it goes to the top of the list to use.
