Took a walk behind my cabin abit ago. I have lots of huge burr oak and noticed lots of acorns have been dropped. Real small also.
About 2 weeks early. With the drought and lack of crops n browse, deer will be hurting bad if it's a bad winter.

A lot of early acorn drop is because the tree is stressed and the acorns are being aborted. Yall gonna have a poor acorn crop this fall

Yes, I have noticed the same thing with the white oak acorns in my neighborhood.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Have a Burr Oak, (White Oak) that the squirrels have been cutting pretty hard, but the nuts are on the tree, not on the ground. Some Walnuts dropping kinda early.

Overloaded trees will drop acorns early too to alleviate stress.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
