The six year old and I will be there Thursday/Friday. Is cash king or do most accept cards with little service charge? Anything that a person should check out first thing Thursday or Friday morning? Maybe the tailgate sales? Do most have supply through the weekend so a person can hold off buying until the end or is it best to buy right away? Any must see/stops for the kid? I see they have a kids center. Any other info greatly appreciated as this is our first National Convention.
Edit: Also what time do the “doors” open and close each day? I also see there is some kind of Third annual NTA convention pizza party Friday put on by GFW. Anyone have info on that?

If you cruise through everything take a pen and paper to write down where it was and how much, if you dont buy it right away. Start making a list of supplies you need or want so you dont forget them when your brain is in overdrive taking in all the smells and sights! Enjoy the time there!

Bring cash and twice as much as you think you will need. Also some dealers start packing it in by Saturday afternoon. I would try to get your buying done first thing.

Cash is great, cards are fine. We don't charge extra for using a card. We will even hold orders behind our booth for customers so they can come back later to get them Same here.

Bring a rubber stamp or name & address label for raffle tickets. Saves a lot of writing.

Bring a rubber stamp or name & address label for raffle tickets. Saves a lot of writing. Just give your tickets to Paul and let him fill them out for you. He wins all the time.

Cash is always king. Cards are generally accepted from most dealers. With cell phones and card readers it isn't that difficult anymore.

Got a golf cart----bring it. NO atvs or utvs. just
I would check before I hauled a cart. We (OSTA) have been working on next years and the convention coordinator has said no extra vehicles on the grounds.

If you see something your interested in but the price is to high, wait till Saturday afternoon if its still there and make an offer. Nobody, tailgaters or dealers, likes to haul stuff back. Like was said, if you like the price dont hesitate. Look around. I have never been to one where I didnt get what I felt was a good buy on something. Never saved enough to pay for the trip but its cheaper than a fishing trip to Canada and about as much fun.
